Locals from Karimabad village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district Wednesday alleged that during the nocturnal cordon and search operation, Government Forces caused massive damage to parked vehicles and residential houses.     They said that during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, Army soldiers from 55 Rashtriya Rifles cordoned off the village. During search operation, local youth hit to roads and pelted stones on them. They retaliated with tear-smoke shells which caused injuries to couple of youth.    The villagers said that Government Forces targeted parked vehicles and residential houses. “They caused massive damage to properties and even targeted a local mosque,” they said.     A police official while refuting the allegations said that a group of youth resorted to massive stone pelting and tried to hamper the search operation.    Meanwhile, Pulwama district remained shut while clashes erupted in the town during morning hours. The youth who fought pitched battles with government forces were protesting against the civilian killings.    Mobile internet service continues to be shut in the district for the consecutive 8th day on Wednesday.    Meanwhile, Shopian district observed a shutdown for the consecutive 8th day today against the civilian killings.
